
Postpartum Lactation Consultations
A postpartum lactation visitation is a follow-up session that occurs after the birth of your baby(ies) to provide you support, guidance, and assistance with breastfeeding. These visits are designed to address any challenges or concerns that may have arisen since the delivery and to help you and baby(ies) establish and maintain successful breastfeeding.


This appointment is essential in reviewing the overall wellness of you and your baby and provide you with the education and means to continue is successful breastfeeding now and for the future.
Below is an overview of what I provide occur during a postpartum lactation consultant visit:

Assessment of mother and baby.

Assessment of mothers wellbeing

Observe and assess breastfeeding history.

Observe and assess breastfeeding session.

Assess you baby’s feeding pattern.

Tackle breastfeeding challenges.

Review or initiation of pumping.

Encouragement and emotional support.

Development of a continuous care plan.

Provide you with appropriate supplies and or resources.
